About The Role

We are looking for a  Systems Integration Engineer  to join our team in Tokyo. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of software, hardware, and complex systems. You’ll play a key role in deploying our cutting-edge robotic solutions, ensuring seamless integration into our clients’ operations.

What You Will Do

• Analyze customer business and operational needs to define actionable system integration requirements
• Coordinate engineering activities to meet performance, reliability, and functional goals
• Ensure alignment between the delivered solution and the original sales concept
• Participate hands-on in both the design and implementation phases at customer sites
• Produce and review high-quality documentation for design, implementation, and validation
• Support project managers from contract signature through to handover to maintenance teams
• Advise clients on optimal integration strategies for their infrastructure and operations
• Collaborate with both local and international Exotec teams to solve engineering challenges

Requirements

We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences. If you meet some (not all) of the criteria below, we still encourage you to apply:

• Previous experience in the warehousing, logistics and/or materials handling industry
• Experience in overseeing large-scale, interdisciplinary engineering projects
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in Japan or Korea
• Comfortable taking the initiative and working autonomously
• Good problem solver who works methodically
• Fluency in English
• Fluency in Japanese or Korean
• Willingness to work in the field on customer sites in Japan or Korea frequently (on average up to 50% of your working time)
