SKI/ SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Full Time, Seasonal or Year Round, Long Term

Gearhub is actively seeking a skilled Ski Technician to join our expert service team. This role is focused on ski and snowboard tuning, mounting, and maintenance during the winter months, with opportunities to support other departments (or transition to bike tech) in the summer season. This role offers excellent potential for growth within the company for the right candidate. PRIMARY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Walk-in customer service and front-line interaction
• Service writing support and work order documentation
• Managing service workload and tuning/rental queue
• Ski and snowboard tuning, waxing, edge sharpening, and repairs
• Binding mounting and adjustment according to industry standards (training provided if needed)
• Performing rental gear maintenance and safety checks
• Quality control inspections on all serviced gear
• Assist with restocking and organizing the service area and parts department
• Support for online (ecom) gear inspections and product preparation
• Participate in daily opening and closing duties
• POS system use and rental gear setup

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be friendly and approachable, and passionate about skiing, biking and other outdoor sports!
• Previous experience working as a Ski Technician preferred
• Familiarity with ski/snowboard equipment, bindings, and tuning tools
• Comfortable with hands-on repair, diagnostics, and maintenance
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks under pressure
• Friendly, approachable, and team-focused attitude
The ability to multitask in a high-energy, fast-paced environment is a must

Starting wage $20.00+/hr. Wage will be aligned with the candidate's experience and capabilities.
