Structural Designer/Drafter – Vancouver, BC

HAYS Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading engineering consultancy to recruit a

Structural Drafter for their Vancouver office.

This is a key technical role for a detail-oriented professional ready to contribute to high-profile structural projects and support a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed structural drawings and models using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop accurate and timely design documentation.
• Interpret engineering sketches and specifications to produce construction-ready drawings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design integration and consistency.
• Maintain drawing standards and ensure compliance with company and industry guidelines.
• Assist in the preparation of drawing packages for permit and construction.
• Support revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Participate in internal reviews and contribute to quality assurance processes.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or certificate in Structural/Civil Drafting or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in structural drafting, preferably in a consulting environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
• Strong understanding of structural systems and construction methods.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Work Mode & Location:

• Hybrid Schedule : Onsite Tuesday–Thursday.
• Location : Vancouver office.
• Travel : Not required.

What you'll get in return:

Salary Range : $80,000 – $100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
