Job Description

Primary Scope of Role :

  • Manage and oversee multiple heavy civil construction projects from start to finish
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Secure necessary permits and approvals.
  • Assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Understand estimate costs, help and manage project budgets, monitor and ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
  • Lead project teams and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Mentor project coordinators and junior level staff to facilitate their development.
  • Assign roles and responsibilities for junior level staff.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, venders, and government agencies.
  • Monitor project performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project plans and compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management to support the overall objectives of the company.

Position Requirements :

  • 8+ years of experience in project management in the road building and construction industry
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outcome focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and visualize to ensure continuous improvement across our business.
  • Ability to connect and interact with people to seek different perspectives.
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness in overcoming business challenges.
