Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Technical Program Manager to lead our Shopify migration and digital transformation initiatives. You'll ensure that all projects align with strategic goals, delivering a seamless and optimized e-commerce experience.
Key Responsibilities
Program Oversight
- Lead the overall Shopify migration program, including coordination of development, design, and operational teams.
- Own the execution of multiple cross-functional initiatives such as CRO testing, site feature rollouts, and digital product enhancements.
- Ensure alignment between technical implementations and product vision.
Project Planning & Coordination
- Define project scopes, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with internal stakeholders (product, e-commerce, engineering, marketing, merchandising, customer service, fulfillment, and design teams).
- Create and manage detailed project plans using tools such as Asana and Jira.
- Prioritize initiatives and manage schedules to ensure on-time, on-budget execution.
- Track and manage program budgets and resourcing needs in collaboration with finance and team leads.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, facilitating weekly check-ins and status updates.
- Partner with the Product Manager to ensure feature scope, user requirements, and business objectives are clearly defined and delivered.
- Coordinate launch schedules for new platform features and merchandising or campaign initiatives.
- Manage external vendors, consultants, and partners to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.
Process Improvement
- Continuously evaluate and improve workflows between engineering, product, and business teams.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current processes and recommend scalable solutions.
- Standardize delivery practices to improve velocity, visibility, and predictability.
- Develop change management and training plans to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
Risk Management & Reporting
- Identify and mitigate project risks and blockers.
- Define and track KPIs to monitor project performance and impact, reporting regularly to senior stakeholders.
- Conduct retrospectives and maintain documentation of outcomes and key learnings.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3–6 years of program or project management experience in e-commerce, digital products, or consumer retail.
- Strong understanding of Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms; re-platforming experience highly preferred.
- Experience with technical programs involving ERP, MRP, or PIM integrations.
- Proficiency in project management tools, with preference for direct experience Asana and Jira.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Calm under pressure and effective in fast-paced environments.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
- PMP, PgMP, CSM, or other relevant project/program management certifications are a plus.
This is a full-time hybrid position based in Toronto.
