These are seasonal positions with various roles available as listed below. There is a possibility that some positions may transition into full-time roles in the future. The hourly wage for this position ranges from $29 to $50, depending on experience.
Your Role - Senior and Intermediate levels of Construction supervision of civil, geotechnical and material engineering projects.
- Working on municipal, commercial and industrial projects in a field environment.
- Shallow and Deep Foundation construction monitoring.
- Providing inspection, and quality control and assurance monitoring and testing on a variety of field-projects.
- Performing field and laboratory testing of soil, aggregates, Portland cement, asphalt and concrete including sieve analysis, density testing using nuclear density gauges.
- Preparation of Proctors and Marshall molds, asphalt cement content, sand equivalents, Atterberg limits and moisture content, including evaluation and reporting of properties and characteristics.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Other duties as required to conduct our business and build on the job knowledge.
Qualifications - Graduated from a Civil Engineering Technology program (industry experience also considered an asset).
- 3 years of industry experience minimum.
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License and be able to provide a satisfactory driver's abstract upon hire.
- CCIL training and certification considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients is a mandatory requirement.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and listening skills.
- Good time management skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision and the ability to contribute to the Practice by being a team player.
- Willing to work on remote projects and extended hours as needed.
- Be physically capable of performing the manual labour duties required.
