We are seeking a skilled AI Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and deployment of intelligent systems that drive business impact. You will work across the full lifecycle of AI solutions, from ideation and prototyping to production deployment, leveraging machine learning, natural language processing, LLMs, and workflow automation. This role requires both technical expertise and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • AI Development: Build, train, and optimize AI models and workflows for real-world applications.
  • LLM Integration: Apply and adapt large language models (LLMs) to business use cases, with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • System Integration: Work with on-premise and cloud-based tools to deploy and manage AI systems in secure, production-ready environments.
  • Security & Authentication: Implement authentication, authorization, and best practices for secure AI workflows.
  • Testing & Monitoring: Develop automated testing, monitoring, and evaluation strategies to ensure AI performance and trustworthiness.
  • Collaboration: Partner with product managers, data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to align AI solutions with business needs.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current with advancements in AI, agentic systems, and ML operations to drive innovation.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face).
  • Proficiency with Python and common ML/AI libraries.
  • Familiarity with NLP, large language models, prompt engineering, or fine-tuning.
  • Understanding of secure system design, authentication, and API integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with agentic AI frameworks or workflow orchestration.
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and N8N.
  • Knowledge of MLOps tools and CI/CD for AI.
  • Familiarity with both cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-prem environments.
  • Strong collaboration skills and a track record of working with diverse stakeholders.

Additional Details

  • Competitive base salary with performance-based incentives. Potential Salary Range: $110-130K. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations.
  • This role is eligible for remote US-based (work-from-home) locations. Chicago-based candidates would work in a hybrid capacity from the Accertify HQ located in Itasca, IL.
  • Visa Sponsorship: employment eligibility to work for Accertify in the U.S. is required, as Accertify will not pursue Visa sponsorship for this position.
