WORSHIP MINISTRIES DIRECTOR
Part-Time (15 hours/week)
Calvary Gospel Church, Beamsville

Purpose:
To lead and equip volunteers in creating Christ-centred worship gatherings that fuel all ages to glorify God—together and in everyday life. This role oversees and develops Calvary’s Worship and Creative Arts ministries, both in-person and online, in alignment with our church’s vision and mission.

Reports to: Lead Pastor
Works closely with: A/V Team Leader, Music Team Members, Creative Arts Volunteers, Administrative Support

Key Responsibilities

1. Sunday Worship Services & Special Events

• Collaborate with Pastor Andrew to thoughtfully plan and execute weekly services and special events that reflect the heart and theology of Calvary.
• Coordinate all musical and creative elements for services, ensuring clarity, flow, and spiritual depth.
• Oversee scheduling of worship leaders, musicians, and A/V volunteers at least three months in advance.

2. Music Team Leadership

• Recruit, equip, and support volunteer musicians and vocalists.
• Lead (or delegate leadership of) weekly rehearsals to prepare for Sunday services.
• Provide ongoing training and spiritual encouragement for team members.

3. Creative Arts Ministry Oversight

• Provide leadership and vision for all creative aspects of worship, including video, lighting, photography, stage design, and visual content.
• Develop and equip a volunteer team to create compelling digital content—both in-service and online—that clearly communicates Calvary’s mission and vision.
• Collaborate with the A/V team to ensure strong communication and technical excellence in all creative and production elements.

4. Disciple-making & Team Culture

• Provide musicians, vocalists, A/V volunteers, and Creative Arts team members with regular opportunities for skill development and training, helping them grow in excellence and confidence in their roles.
• Create intentional moments for team members to deepen their understanding of biblical worship through teaching, prayer, and spiritual reflection.
• Cultivate a healthy, Christ-centred team culture marked by community, encouragement, and servant-hearted collaboration.
• Organize regular team gatherings that foster spiritual growth, unity, and connection across all areas of Worship and Creative Arts ministry.

Position Details

• Hours: 15 hours/week
• Schedule: Flexible, with availability required for Sundays, weekly rehearsals, and seasonal events.
• Compensation: To be determined based on experience and qualifications.

Ideal Candidate:
The Worship Ministries Director will be a committed follower of Jesus who is passionate about worship and gifted in leading teams. They will have experience in music ministry and/or creative arts, a heart for disciple-making, and the ability to collaborate well with staff and volunteers. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
