Salary: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00

Position Title: Worship Director

Position Status: Full-time, Hourly
Reports to: Sunday Services Director

Position Summary

The Worship Director will work under the direction of the Sunday Services Director to build, lead, and shape Bethels worship ministry. This person will empower volunteers, develop leaders through Bethels Leadership Pipeline, and ensure that the worship ministry aligns with Bethels mission to be and make disciples who are centered on Jesustransforming every square inch of our lives, our church, our region, and the world for the glory of God.

Qualifications

• A member of Bethel Church who exemplifies spiritual maturity, moral integrity, and a vibrant, growing relationship with Jesus.
• Actively living out Bethels mission and embodying our Church and Staff values.
• Demonstrates a passion for worship and prayer, with a growing love for the local church and its mission.
• Strong leadership ability, with experience in recruiting and developing leaders
• Competent musical ability (vocal and instrumental), with enough theory knowledge to lead and coach a band effectively.
• Solid theological foundation with alignment to Bethels statement of faith and worship philosophy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; team-oriented.
• Committed to healthy relationships and personal accountability.
• Strong work ethic, time management, and organizational skills.

Key Competencies

Leadership Development

• Recruit, train, and raise up leaders at all levels using Bethels Leadership Pipeline.
• Mentor and equip worship volunteers, fostering both spiritual and skill growth.
• Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, and team health.

Musical Leadership

• Lead the congregation, vocally and instrumentally, into authentic worship.
• Provide clear musical leadership for the band, including arrangements, rehearsals, and live leadership.
• Coach musicians in their craft, using musical language and theory to help them improve.
• Catalyst for continual musical and spiritual growth across the team.

Theological Alignment

• Ensure song selection reflects biblical truth and aligns with Bethels theology and philosophy of worship.
• Communicate the why behind worship choices, connecting them to discipleship and formation.
• Model whole-life worship, guiding the church to see worship as more than just music.
