The Opportunity

As a Virtual Emergency Medicine Physician , you’ll collaborate with on-site clinical teams using advanced technology to assess and treat patients in real time. You will:

  • Provide virtual emergency care, receiving/providing handovers from/to other medical teams
  • Evaluate, diagnose and treat a range of presentations, ordering tests and reviewing results
  • Coordinate with nurses, escalate critical cases, and ensure smooth transitions
  • Build relationships with a cross-functional on-site and virtual team committed to patient-first care
  • Help bring innovation, safety, and quality to every patient encounter

What You’ll Need

  • Current, unrestricted licensure with CPSBC
  • CCFP(EM) or FRCPC-EM designation
  • At least 1–3 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine
  • Passion for equitable, high-quality care and for bringing it virtually to patients in need
  • Comfortable using or learning digital platforms and EMRs
  • Residing in British Columbia
  • Experience working in the digital health sector preferred
