Position Summary:

The Territory Sales Lead (TSL) ensures flawless execution of store-level sales and promotion plans with customer retailers in the assigned territory (Mont-Laurier, Maniwaki, and Gatineau). The territory consists of high-volume food chain grocers and mass merchandiser customers. The TSL drives retail execution by increasing sales, implementing best-in-class promotional and merchandising strategies, and ensuring 100% distribution of authorized Hershey items across all classes of trade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Customer Points of Sale: Build and maintain consultative relationships with customer Key Decision Makers (KDMs). Partner with KDMs to execute action plans to increase sales. Influence and negotiate customer support in merchandising Hershey products
  • Data Analysis & Sales Call Preparation: Prepare retail sales calls using store, product, and market data. Utilize company tools for pre-call planning and route optimization
  • Sales: Apply consultative sales techniques during retail calls. Maximize sales and display opportunities through store walk-throughs and tailored merchandising
  • Administrative Responsibilities: Submit daily and weekly activity reports, expenses, competitive activity, account changes, and promotions using company-approved methods
  • Merchandising: Execute customer-specific promotional plans and maintain permanent displays. Ensure new items are stocked and out-of-stocks are addressed
  • Strategy Development & Process Improvement: Recommend strategies to improve territory, district, and area business effectiveness. Drive advocacy partnerships within the assigned category

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs repeatedly
  • 1–3 years of sales experience, preferably in consumer packaged goods
  • Knowledge of retail strategies and store operations
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with fresh thinking and initiative
  • Proficient in MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with iPad technology
  • Willingness to be part of a high-performing, fun team

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a closely related field
