Role overview

A DevOps engineer is responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining software applications and infrastructure using various tools and methodologies.

What you'll do

  • Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for software development and deployment.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize the performance and availability of software applications and infrastructure.
  • Implement and enforce best practices and standards for software development, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide feedback and support for software development and delivery.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve software development and delivery processes.

What you bring to the role

  • At least 6 years of experience in software development, deployment, and operations.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, Ruby, or C#.
  • Experience with various DevOps tools and technologies, such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, or AWS.
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, such as version control, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Working arrangements

Based on this role's business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring two days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Toronto, ON.
