• Strong background in sports and fitness.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with members of all ages and backgrounds.
• High conversational English (speaking, reading and writing) & Japanese language ability with the ability to communicate in a professional & courteous manner (in both English & Japanese).
• First aid and CPR certification are welcome.
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Proficiency with Office Tools, such as: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are welcome.

Job Description

The Yokohama Country & Athletic Club is currently hiring a Part-Time Sports Operations Assistant to support weekend sporting activities and events. Working Saturdays and Sundays, you’ll play a key role in organizing and facilitating sports programs, assisting members, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.

Key Focuses:　

1. Facility Management

• Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure all sports equipment and facilities are in top condition.

2. Member Engagement

• Member Relations: Act as a liaison for members, understanding their needs and preferences to tailor programs.
• Feedback Systems: Create channels for regular feedback and use insights to enhance programs and facilities.
• Community Spirit: Foster the YC&AC’s sense of camaraderie through inclusive events and activities.

3. Compliance and Safety

• Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with local and international sports standards.
• Safety Protocols: Implement and enforce safety measures to protect members, particularly in high-contact sports.

3. Responsibilities:

Supervise sports and recreational activities.

• Sports Activities at YC&AC may include (but is not limited to): Soccer, Rugby, Baseball, Basketball, Field Hockey, Tennis, Cricket, Gymnastics, Squash, Bowling, Swim Team, Volleyball, Dodgeball, American Football
• Recreational Activities and events may include (but is not limited to): Carnival Games, Fitness Days/Classes, Pool Party, Kite Making Day, Mochi Pounding; etc.

2. Ensure the safety and proper use of facilities and equipment.

3. Collaborate with other staff to plan recreational and social events.

4. Assist with administrative tasks related to event scheduling and member communications.

Salary 

• Hourly rate: from ¥1,300/hour
• Needs to be available on weekends
• Transportation allowance (up to ¥1,000/day)
• Staff meals provided
