KEY REQUIREMENTS

• MUST: Mastery of at least ONE of: Java, C/C++, or Go-Lang
• MUST: Database development experience
• MUST: Web application development experience (both frontend and backend)
• MUST: Strong team communication skills - able to build good relationships with team members
• MUST: Japanese native level with conversational English OR English native with business beginner Japanese minimum
• WANT: React experience
• WANT: Knowledge of architectural design data, especially BIM (Building Information Modeling)
• NOTE: NO experience with BIM/CIM data handling or ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) app development required

TRADE-OFFS

• No architectural/BIM knowledge needed - general coding skills with FE/BE knowledge is sufficient to perform the work effectively
• Not looking for senior level - mid-level developers who can work independently based on instructions are perfectly suitable
• Younger candidates welcome if they have solid fundamental skills
• React experience is negotiable - can be learned on the job if candidate is strong in other required areas

PRODUCT/PROJECT/TEAM

Products/Projects:

• Building digital data infrastructure for construction projects; developing web applications that utilize 3D models (both frontend and backend); creating digital data for buildings and infrastructure based on BIM/CIM data; providing this data to logistics and mapping teams for utilization across the organization

Tech Stack/Tools:

• Java, C/C++, Go-Lang (need proficiency in at least one), React (preferred), BIM360/ACC (Autodesk), AWS, GitHub, G Suite, Slack, MS Office suite

Team Structure:

• 13 members total - 4 Japanese nationals, remainder are foreign nationals

Work Style:

• Full onsite work at Nihonbashi office; daily communication primarily in Japanese, but technical meetings sometimes conducted in English; collaborative team environment; documents can be in English
