For this position, we are looking for candidates located in Canada and the US.

Job Overview

As our Shopify Developer, you will be the technical resource for our Support team to turn to for assisting our merchants. You will have the opportunity to work on a team of high performers and be able to influence how we work with Shopify.

This role will collaborate with our Engineering, Product and Support teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and troubleshoot Tier II issues raised from our Shogun Support team from our merchants around their Shopify themes. This could eventually extend to other platforms but Shopify is the main focus initially.
• Design and implement Shopify Demo stores for Shogun's Engineering, Product, Customer Success, Marketing and Support teams, using the latest Shogun feature releases
• Design and implement Shogun starter templates for merchants to use in-app
• Serve as the resident Shopify expert by staying up to date on newest releases

Need to Have

• At least 3 years of experience with Shopify development and Liquid templating, including experience customizing themes with Liquid
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving theme issues
• Ability to set up and manage Shopify demo environments
• Understanding of responsive design principles
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Eager to stay updated with Shopify updates and new features

Nice to Have

• Previous experience working in an agency setting
• Experience with Shopify Plus
• Liquid Storefronts for Theme Developers Certification from Shopify
• Knowledge of Shopify APIs and third-party integrations
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for Shopify stores
• Experience with graphic design tools (e.g. Figma)
• Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira)
• Experience with other ecommerce platforms, like BigCommerce
• Previous customer support or client-facing experience

Salary Range

Canada: C$76,675 - C$103,725

US: $98,675 - $133,525
