Job Description:

Service Engineer – 4 stroke Engine.

Introduction:

To enhance the multi-skills and service quality of our Wartsila service engineers and better meet the demands of the Japanese market, we require a Mechanical and E&A role engineers.

To become a professional engineer in these specific roles in the future, it is crucial to take advantage of both internal and external training opportunities to continually enhance technical skills.

About you:

• Basic knowledge of diesel and gas engines
• Understanding of the business
• A team player with a positive mindset and the ability to adapt and work independently in a challenging environment
• Good written and spoken Japanese and English
• Willingness to travel

In this role, you will:

• Manage site work with team members, including subcontractors, and report through the service work report.
• Ensure site safety conditions are met by team members and subcontractors in accordance with Wartsila and local regulations.
• Perform commissioning, overhauls, and repairs on 4-stroke general engines.
• Occasionally, manage and lead the assigned team and related activities during work execution.
• Communicate with the back office for root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting during site work.
• Create daily work reports and update the back office on site conditions.
• Communicate with customers about technical and commercial requirements during site work.

■ 主な業務内容：

• チームメンバーや協力会社と連携し、現場での作業を実施。作業報告書を通じて進捗を関係者へ共有
• バルチラおよび国内法規に準拠した安全管理の実施
• 4ストロークエンジンの試運転、オーバーホール、修繕作業
• 作業内容に応じてチームを率い、現場オペレーションを管理
• 現場で発生する不具合の対応や原因分析においてバックオフィスと連携
• 日々の作業報告書を作成し、現場状況を社内関係者と共有
• 顧客との現場での技術的・商業的な要件調整およびコミュニケーション
