Our client is a leading ICI construction company based in Burlington, ON, delivering institutional, commercial, and industrial projects across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. With a strong reputation for quality builds and collaborative project delivery, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee complex projects and play a key leadership role in their continued growth.
Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to closeout, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of ICI construction, and proven experience managing large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of ICI construction projects ranging from $10M to $100M+.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and strong relationships.
Manage project teams, including site staff, subcontractors, and consultants, ensuring alignment with project goals.
Oversee the preparation and administration of project schedules, budgets, change orders, and progress reports.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards on all job sites.
Conduct risk assessments and proactively resolve project issues to avoid delays or cost overruns.
Collaborate with estimating and pre-construction teams during project pursuit and award.
Provide mentorship and leadership to Project Managers, Coordinators, and Site Superintendents.
Drive value engineering, innovative solutions, and best practices to achieve project and client success.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive project management experience in the ICI construction industry.
Proven success delivering projects $10M+ in size, ideally within institutional or commercial sectors.
Strong knowledge of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and project management methodologies.
Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar).
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
Ability to lead diverse project teams and foster collaboration across stakeholders.
Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
PMP designation, Gold Seal Certification, or equivalent credentials considered an asset.
