Job Description

Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer Reports To: Chief Engineer Position Summary: The Senior Electrical Engineer will lead a team of engineers and designers in the development and execution of electrical power distribution systems for industrial manufacturing facilities—specifically focusing on systems, components, specifications, bills of materials, scopes of work, and construction drawings. This role is responsible for establishing best practices, ensuring technical excellence, and driving performance to meet cost, schedule, and productivity goals. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of electrical power distribution and instrumentation/control systems Prepare engineering and installation cost estimates Select and evaluate electrical equipment for performance and cost-effectiveness Oversee the creation of technical documentation, including studies, reports, specifications, and working drawings Collaborate cross-functionally with project teams and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design personnel Ensure electrical project deliverables meet schedule, budget, and quality objectives Maintain and update electrical specifications, standards, and approved vendor lists Coordinate bid reviews to ensure compliance with specifications and scope prior to procurement Support construction, commissioning, and start-up phases with technical documentation and engineering input Organize and deliver complete as-built drawing packages, vendor manuals, and project documentation Participate in and coordinate factory acceptance testing and pre-installation inspections Provide regular project updates and reports to engineering leadership Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent practical experience in industrial design) Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering projects from concept to execution Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems in a manufacturing or industrial setting Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Customer-focused mindset and a collaborative approach to problem-solving #M1 #LI-AH1 Ref: #282-Eng Pgh
