About this opportunity The Customer Applications Sr. Software Engineer (Sr. Backend Engineer) is responsible for building and maintaining web applications using frameworks like .Net Core ,Java, Kotlin and Spring running on the cloud. Youll take part in creating new cutting-edge technologies, cloud based services for our systems. As a Sr. Backend Engineer, the candidate will be a strong contributor in the execution of the strategic direction for the company, the success of this position will be measured by the usability, quality, and timeliness of applications delivery. You will participate on architecture, design, and implementation of these applications. The ideal candidate is expected to have proven extensive experience building innovative web applications. In this role, you will Be part of a team of SW engineers working on a large scale, distributed, cloud-based services Help the team to solve engineering problems and deliver state-of-the-art software solutions Work closely and willingly with your team members, and with members in other teams Take part in all phases of our agile software development process - design, planning and execution Full ownership on delivered code in terms of quality (Tests Automation), maintenance and monitoring Ability to combine between technological and personal skills Demonstrate accountability by constantly monitoring our production health and by suggesting ways to raise stability and robustness, improving the user experience Take responsibility for improving our systems and products, making them more predictable and reliable, in the sense of business continuation Ensure application development principles, standards, and best practices are followed for each project In this role, youll need 8+ years of overall web development experience, preferably secure, scalable web applications BS/MS degree or equivalent years of experience Solid understanding of agile development principles, careful attention to detail, as well as ability to design solutions for multiple product requirements Ability and expertise to design web applications with high volume of users, cross-platform integrations, and building scalable applications in heterogeneous environments Expertise in microservices and related architectures and patterns, like event-driven architecture, CQRS Strong experience with either .Net/C# or Java (preferably 11 or later)/Kotlin, Spring, Spring boot microservices, REST Web services Experience with various design patterns and object-oriented programming concepts Experience with databases SQL oSQL Experience in developing/managing REST APIs to support communication between systems Understanding of messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ Experience with Cloud services such as AWS or Azure, especially around serverless technologies Experience with industry standard cloud technologies, i.e., Docker, Kubernetes Extensive knowledge and experience with Test-Driven Development and/or Behavior-Driven Development Familiarity in using tools such as JIRA, Git, BitBucket Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills A "can do" attitude, high energy, and creativity are required along with organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks Strong interpersonal, oral, written, and visual communication skills, with ability to present findings concisely and effectively Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, program management, and marketing about objectives, requirements, and design constraints Sound like a good fit? Primary Location Base Salary Range: $164,700 to $198,000 USD Base salary ranges are a guideline used to determine appropriate pay. Placement depends on the individual skills and experience level of a candidate plus the total compensation and equity across team members. For other locations outside of the primary location, the base salary range will be adjusted geographically. For field Sales roles, the salary listed is the base pay only and does not include the applicable commission plan. A cost of living adjustment may be added to base pay for higher cost areas in the U.S. Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
