Job Description

One of our clients, a major oil and gas company, has tasked us with finding a Planning and Scheduling Lead for a 1-year contract with a strong possibility of extension . This is a rotational, field-based role at the Kearl Oil Sands Facility, offering a 14x14 rotation (with potential to shift to 21x21), FIFO from Calgary and Edmonton , and camp accommodations provided .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed Primavera P6 schedules (Level 4 and Level 5) for turnaround and maintenance activities.
• Support schedule development and strategy to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Lead and mentor field-based planning teams, ensuring effective coordination and execution.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule integrity.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to optimize resource allocation and timelines.
• Prepare and present schedule reports and updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in planning and scheduling within the oil and gas industry, preferably in field-based roles.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 with demonstrated ability to develop Level 4 and Level 5 schedules.
• Previous experience managing turnaround and maintenance schedules in large-scale industrial environments.
• Excellent leadership and team coordination skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a rotational, remote camp environment.
