As the Seafreight Supervisor, you will lead the department's service performance and results, improve the company image, and will have the chance to directly impact the business by devising actions for the improvement of the Team and its operations.

Description

As the Seafreight Supervisor, you will lead the department's service performance and results, improve the company image, and will have the chance to directly impact the business by devising actions for the improvement of the Team and its operations. Among the main responsibilities you will get to handle the following:

・ Lead and support the team and measure and monitor staff's performance and service quality

・ Report department performance/result and news monthly to management, through monthly department meetings

・ Maintain contact with key clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction

・ Issue quotations to customers and network where necessary

・ Ensure accuracy of documents produced and data integrity in transport system

・ Conduct rate negotiations with carriers and subcontractors

Profile

In order to success in this role, the applicant should possess the following qualifications:

* Extensive Freight Forwarding experience is mandatory
* Leadership experience
* Seafreight experience would be a big plus
* Negotiation skills (to be used for rate negotiations with partners)
* Good PC skills (excel, word, power point)
* Business English and High business Japanese (written and spoken)
