Job Description

Job Announcement: Military Operations Analyst

Clearance: Active TS/SCI required
Location: Fort Carson, CO
Start Date: Contingent upon contract award

Contract Context

Persistent turnover among Brigade S3 Soldiers and mandatory absences for training/certification create gaps that this contract fills with experienced contractor personnel. Military Operations Analysts will perform duties normally handled by brigade‑level officers or senior NCOs, supporting Operations, Training, Standardization, and Evaluations across five mission areas.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day operational planning, synchronization, and execution support to the Brigade S3 for USSPACECOM/USSTRATCOM/USNORTHCOM missions.

  • Develop and refine Full‑Spectrum Operations Mission Essential Task Lists (FSO METL).

  • Track and report unit readiness through DRRS‑S and NetUSR.

  • Integrate space capabilities and Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) assets—and their associated C2 systems—into operational plans.

  • Support standardization and evaluation activities in accordance with SMDC Standards and Evaluation Program guidance.

  • Prepare briefings, decision papers, and after‑action reports for senior leaders.

  • Serve as a subject‑matter expert during training events, mission rehearsals, and contingency operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • General understanding of space support to operations at the brigade level or higher.

  • Thorough knowledge of Army training management processes, FSO METL development, and SMDC evaluation standards.

  • Demonstrated expertise with DRRS‑S and NetUSR.

  • Familiarity with BMDS architecture; graduation from at least one of the following is highly valued:

    • Sensor Manager Qualification Course (SMQC)

    • Sensor Manager Leader Development Course (SMLDC)

    • Command & Control, Battle Management & Communications Planner’s Course (C2BMC‑PC)

    • THAAD Tactician, Technician, or Follow‑On courses

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).

  • Completion of Space 200 is desired but not mandatory.
