Our company is a successful construction and design build engineering firm, entering its 34th year of operations, with over 60 employees in the field. We are expanding our presence in Edmonton, AB and looking to add a Mechanical Piping Draftsmen Designer to the team! Job Duties:

• Develop and maintain 3D piping models and 2D drawings using AutoCAD Plant 3D (or equivalent software).
• Create general arrangement, isometric, and spool drawings for fabrication and installation.
• Work closely with the design lead, project managers, and engineers to create, draft and ensure design accuracy and constructibility.
• Review vendor drawings and integrate equipment data into plant layouts.
• Support site verification, field measurements, and as-built documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.

Qualifications:

• Technical school graduate in Engineering Design & Drafting Technology.
• 3+ years of experience working in the Western Canada market.
• Experience in oil and gas and/or manufacturing industry preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of ASME/ANSI B31.3 (Process Piping Code) and CSA Piping Standards.
• Proficient with 2D AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D AutoCAD, Acorn competency with MS Applications (Excel, Word).
• Experience generating piping isometrics, fabrication drawings, piping layout and P&ID’s.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize work to meet customer deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work within required deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership qualities and a desire to advance will weigh in favour of the candidate.
