【 Job Description】

The Group R&D Division is a department that supports business success by providing technical support, development, analysis, etc. for startups and cross-group projects that the company is focusing on in its business areas.

Main Business Domains
・Internet infrastructure business (domain, hosting/cloud, access, settlement, EC support, security)
・Internet advertising and media business (media, ad tech, coupons/points)
・Internet financial business (securities, banking)
・Crypto asset (virtual currency) business (exchange, mining, NFT)

The company is constantly researching and developing the latest technologies, and is quick to introduce them into the business, leading to results.

【Projects】
You will first participate in one of the following. You will then either further develop your expertise or join other projects to develop your desired career depending on your performance.

1. Fintech Project
Understanding the nature of the financial services offered by the company's group, and using data science techniques such as mathematical modeling and machine learning, you will improve profitability by successfully handling financial data that is difficult to predict.

2. Adtech Project
In RTB (real-time bidding), one of the main mechanisms of Internet advertising, your main responsibilities will be to design and develop machine learning models for DSP (Demand-Side Platform), which optimizes cost-effectiveness for those who place advertisements, and to measure the effectiveness of such models.

3. Application Project
You will use causal inference techniques to measure the effectiveness of new features and measures of the application that facilitates free WiFi access and improve KPIs of the service by setting up a system to make data-driven management decisions.

4. Other Project
You will apply data analysis and machine learning techniques to assist with crypto asset transactions, fraud detection, and more.

【Research & Development】
・While performing project work, all members will spend a certain amount of time researching cutting-edge machine learning methods and new machine learning applications.
・In addition, members appointed on a quarterly basis will conduct focused research and development.

【Attraction of this position】
1. You can directly handle the world's No. 1 scale financial data, hundreds of terabytes of ad-tech data, etc., and learn technologies (Hadoop, PySpark, etc.) for analyzing big data.
2. You can analyze various types of data such as time series data, user behavior data, and articles.
3. You will learn about the business in your area of responsibility, such as fintech and ad tech, and keep up to date with cutting-edge machine learning, deep learning, statistical methods, etc.
・You will acquire three important skills (business understanding, data science, and engineering) and develop one or more of your strengths to a great extent.
4. As a department under the direct control of the group CTO, the selection of technologies is left solely to the site, allowing us to verify and introduce cutting-edge technologies on your own.
5. Since all of the services are in-house, you can work with the business unit to set your own issues and come up with your own solutions, and perform an improvement cycle based on data science.
6. Depending on the individual's performance and motivation, you can take on the challenge of freely conducting research and development work on the team's key themes.
7. The team is diverse, consisting of PhDs who have worked in academia and people with engineering backgrounds.

職務経験	3年以上

スキル・資格

【Required】
・Experience using "machine learning" to solve real-world problems
・Majored in information engineering/information science at university, graduate school, or technical high school, or have the same level of knowledge
・1+ years of experience in application development work (design, implementation, testing)

【Preferred】
・Basic knowledge of probability theory and statistics
・Experience in solving problems through mathematical modeling
・Extensive coding experience using Python
・Experience with PyData (numpy, scipy, pandas, scikit-learn, etc.)
・Experience with Big Data & distributed processing (Hadoop related technologies, Spark, etc.)
