St. George’s Anglican Church, Burlington is a vibrant, Christ-centred, church family located in Burlington, ON.
We exist for the glory of God and our goal is to be a church full of joy-filled, gospel-shaped people proclaiming Jesus Christ with conviction, competence and confidence.
We are not affiliated with the Anglican Church of Canada. Our church broke away from the Anglican Church of Canada over significant theological differences in 2005. We are part of The Anglican Diocese of Canada which is a diocese in the Anglican Church in North America and part of the global Gafcon movement, which represents approximately 70 of the 90 million Anglicans worldwide.
We are theologically aligned with Gospel Coalition churches, including Hope Bible Church in Oakville and James North Baptist Church in Hamilton.
Do you need to be an Anglican to apply? Not at all! Everyone, from every background and tradition and experience is welcome at St. George’s. We have lots of members and guests and even staff who have come from all sorts of backgrounds including other denominations like Baptist, Reform etc. We believe much of the rich history and practices of Anglicanism can lend a strong and beneficial fabric for worship and discipleship. But we believe that Anglican churches are simply one expression of Christ’s Church worldwide and that all believing Christians are one body in Christ and brothers and sisters in the family of God. So, if you’ve never been to an Anglican church before, don’t let that stop you from considering this role! We love and praise the Lord Jesus Christ and we would love to have you join us as we do!
