At this time we are not accepting candidates that are currently attending school as this position does require you to work 40 hours a week and rotating shifts. Please note: previous janitorial experience is a must.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Industrial Cleaner to join our clients team. This is a full-time fixed term 3 to 6 month contract position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in in a manufacturing environment, ensuring that all spaces are hygienic and presentable. This role is essential in providing a safe and pleasant atmosphere for employees, clients, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in designated areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure thorough cleaning of surfaces.
• Follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing to maintain health standards.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained in good working condition and stored properly after use.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as needed, including deep cleaning tasks or event setups.
• Laundry duties including coveralls, towels, work wear in support of the facilities requirements
• This position may require you to work at heights to perform vacuuming or mopping walls, etc.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical stamina; ability to lift and move items as necessary during cleaning tasks.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols is a plus.
• Must be able to work shift work

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is an asset
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Team player

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: From $24.03 per hour
