The role


Reporting to the Manager, IT Operations, the IT Support Technician acts as the first line of support for our internal users, helping to resolve technical issues and ensuring a smooth and efficient IT experience. We are looking for a resourceful problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment.


The responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and resolving network connectivity problems.
  • Log and manage incidents in the IT service management system, ensuring timely resolution and escalation of issues as needed.
  • Assist users with setting up and configuring IT equipment, including computers, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Monitor IT systems and infrastructure to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Maintain accurate records of support activities, including incident reports and knowledge base articles.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring user satisfaction and maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.


The requirements

  • High School Diploma, degree in computer sciences or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • CompTIA A+, Microsoft: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, AZ900 or similar certifications are highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Windows and iOS operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of network protocols, IP addressing, and troubleshooting network issues.
  • Familiarity with computer hardware components and peripherals.
  • Experience with common software applications, including Microsoft M365 Office Suite and remote support tools (i.e. Quick Assist)
  • Knowledge of ITIL IT service management frameworks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with users and team members.
  • Being fluent in both Canadian official languages is desirable.
