Be a part of the Summer 2026 Investment Intern team at Missouri's largest defined benefit pension plan. We are looking for organized and motivated interns to Assist the Chief Financial Officer and Investment Staff across multiple asset classes.

PSRS/PEERS is the largest defined benefit pension plan in Missouri with more than 320,000 members. We work in partnership with Missouri public school districts to provide retirement security for Missouri's public school teachers and education employees.
Our over 175 employees work out of locations in St. Louis, Missouri and on the west side of Jefferson City, Missouri. Our office is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and many positions have scheduling flexibility within those hours. We provide state-of-the-art technology and security, with comfortable, ergonomic working spaces and collaborative areas throughout the building. About the Job
PSRS/PEERS Investment Interns are part of a team behind an award winning, world-class institutional investment program. The market value of the invested assets for PSRS/PEERS is over $60 billion. The primary focus of the investment program is to achieve an annual return of at least 7.3% over long periods of time. PSRS/PEERS attempts to reduce overall portfolio risk by diversifying into several asset classes including both public and private investments, across both domestic and international markets.
As an Investment Intern, you will provide support to our Investment department. You will assist the Chief Financial Officer and investment staff while working across multiple asset classes including public equity, private equity, private credit, real estate, and hedged assets. This position reports directly to the Investment Operations Manager and indirectly to one or more Senior Portfolio Managers. It is a paid position with flexible scheduling, located at our office in Jefferson City, MO.
Job Requirements
Our ideal candidate is a student entering or enrolled in college and pursuing a bachelor's degree or master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, economics or a related field. A student with a strong desire to earn the Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred.
