About the Role

As a Project Manager, you play a critical role in overseeing project delivery from inception to completion. Your responsibilities include creating project plans, managing resources, and ensuring timely execution while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. ​

This role is instrumental in driving project efficiency and client satisfaction through effective leadership and strategic oversight. It offers a pathway for career growth within the project management field, with opportunities to expand your skills and take on bigger and increasingly complex projects.

Essential Functions

Project Management ​

  • Create detailed project plans outlining tasks, milestones, timelines, and resource allocations.​
  • Track project progress and provide regular status updates to clients and internal stakeholders.​
  • Identify, document, and elevate project risks and issues; provide potential mitigation options and next steps to cross-functional team members.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenses, tracking hours and dollars to align with projected spend.​
  • Prepare project documentation, including project plans, schedules, status reports, and post-project evaluations.​
  • Present and report on project status to clients and internal stakeholders.​
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and feedback collection from clients, working with team leads to incorporate feedback into project revisions as needed. ​

Team Management​

  • Help prepare for and drive project kickoff meetings with clients and internal team members to communicate project goals, scope, and requirements.​
  • Coordinate with designers, developers, solutions consultants, analytics specialists, and other team members to ensure project tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.​
  • Conduct regular team meetings and check-ins to review activities and deliverables, overall project status, address challenges, and ensure alignment on project objectives.​
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and client requirements.​
  • Serve as the overall point of contact for all aspects of the project from kickoff to closure.

Client Management​

  • Manage client communications and expectations throughout the project lifecycle, addressing and elevating questions and concerns.​
  • Manage weekly client status meetings to update stakeholders on the progress of deliverables, review documented decisions and next steps, and review budget and hours used and remaining.​
  • Represent the company with a professional, collaborative approach in all communications with clients, partners, vendors, etc.

Practice Development ​

  • Assist with post-launch reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify opportunities for process improvement and knowledge sharing.​
  • Help identify opportunities for process and workflow improvement and overall Practice efficiency.​
  • Foster an environment of continual growth by leaning into new and diverse projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in a project management role at an agency (web or creative agency preferred).
  • Good grasp on web principles and processes such as software development, systems integration, architecture, etc.
  • Understands creative operations, information architecture, page building, etc.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Proficiency in project management tools like Microsoft Project, or Smart Sheets Project Management software.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong management skills and the ability to drive multiple complex projects forward simultaneously.
  • Ability to quickly identify project issues, escalate effectively, and generate solutions proactively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects with a focus on delivering quality results to meet project objectives.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams and coordinating project tasks to ensure timely delivery within budget constraints.
  • Ability to foster team collaboration and mentor junior team members to enhance project performance​.
  • Strong client communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to understand client needs, manage expectations, and effectively address inquiries and concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to driving project efficiency and innovation.
  • Proficient in identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions to enhance project outcomes.
  • Effective communication skills to facilitate clear and concise project updates, stakeholder meetings, and client presentations.
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts to maintain project momentum and achieve desired outcomes.​
  • Familiarity with project management tools and systems.
  • Capable of leveraging these frameworks to streamline project workflows and optimize resource allocation.
  • Problem-solving abilities to anticipate and mitigate project risks, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards while maintaining a focus on client satisfaction and project success.

Compensation Range: $75,000-$90,000 CAD (depends on experience)
