Job Description

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a HR & Staffing Specialist.

Type: Contract
Job Title: HR & Staffing Specialist
Location: Durham, NC
Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Durham, NC
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Education: Bachelor's Degree required

Description
The HR & Staffing Specialist will be responsible for delivering high-quality talent acquisition services, supporting HR programs, and promoting a positive work environment. This includes proactive sourcing, full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and maintaining compliance with legal and corporate standards. The specialist will work closely with hiring managers and HR leadership to meet staffing goals, provide an excellent candidate experience, and uphold the company's values.

Requirements
•Develop talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
•Create and execute proactive sourcing strategies
•Post job advertisements and enhance employer branding online/offline
•Partner with hiring managers to define job responsibilities
•Maintain and manage applicant tracking systems and candidate databases
•Craft and send recruiting communications
•Source qualified candidates through resume databases, social media, etc.
•Conduct interviews (phone, video, in-person)
•Collaborate with talent acquisition and hiring teams to manage candidate pipelines
•Compile and deliver recruitment and HR-related reports
•Represent the company at job fairs and other recruiting events
•Support onboarding, HR reporting, auditing, and general HR tasks
•Serve as a point of contact for general HR inquiries
•Promote a positive employee experience and HR service delivery

Required Qualifications

Education
•Bachelor's Degree in Business, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field

Qualifications
•Minimum 3 years of talent acquisition or recruiting experience
•Strong computer skills in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word

•Discretion and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
•Strong prioritization and time management skills
•Comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization
•Analytical skills with ability to query, analyze, and report on data
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
•HR systems expertise, including ATS usage and reporting
•Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills
•Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable
•Able to implement structured processes and continuous improvements
•Professional presence with strong HR service orientation
•Experience with SharePoint, ETQ, or SuccessFactors preferred
•Occasional travel or off-hours work may be required
