APM Terminals
Position: Head of Technology - P400
We are looking for a head of technology for our fully automated terminal, namely P400, on the West Coast.
The Head of Technology plays a crucial role in leading the technology strategy and execution required to optimize the operations and drive efficiencies. The candidate must have a blend of good technical expertise, business acumen and leadership skills to oversee the implementation and management of the advanced automation systems and ensure seamless and secure operations. The Head of Technology works very closely with the automation, asset management and operations functions.

Technical skills: - Tech leader / CIO for a fully automated (large) terminal
- Good technical skills across networks, data centers, general infrastructure, LTE
- Cisco HCI, Nokia LTE, Kalmar automation, Navis TOS, Gate operating systems, OCR
- Change control and tech operational excellence practices with a 99.9% uptime on 24x7x365 operations
- Good understanding of cyber-security standards and management of terminal cyber profile to safeguard the data and operations
- Tech lean practices to drive continuous improvements, innovation in the context of advanced automation
- Driving the adoption of innovative technologies in close partnership with the automation, asset management and operations functions
- Software upgrades, specifically NAVIS TOS upgrade (4.0 version)
- Full DR and tech BCP, full redundancy and resilience
- Delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects

- Work from office 5 days a week
- Salary $230k - 280k per annum plus One Maersk Bonus
- Manage a team of 10-15 people, with global and regional teams
- Matrix reporting line (straight to CIO and dotted line to terminal MD)
What success looks like / KPIs: - Uptime / terminal operations at 99.9%
- Strong, stable high performing team with a EES of 4.2+
- Strong Cost management and meeting annual budgets against agreed 3-year cost-plan, and ability to demonstrate ROI on technology investments
- Working as 'one team' with terminal SMT as well as Regional tech LT as per terminal SMT and Tech LT EES
