Job Description

The Kativik Regional Government (KRG), a supra municipal body with jurisdiction over the territory located north of the 55th parallel, is now looking for a self-motivated and dynamic individual interested in joining the KRG to work in the capacity of:

GRAPHIC DEVELOPER - Relocation to Kuujjuaq required

(TEMPORARY, FULL-TIME)

The videos produced by the graphic developer will be regularly featured on our websites and social media platforms to promote the KRG brand and values. It is therefore essential that all deliverables align with our unique specifications and standards. Under the supervision of the Director of Communications, the graphic developer will be responsible for, among other tasks, the following duties:

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, produce, and edit video and photo content for all types of communication projects for both website and social media platforms. This also includes the production of internal

communication tools such as the scripting and editing of training videos;

  • Help define an internal media strategy to align with the Kativik Regional Government’s public relations and messaging strategies;
  • Responsible for internal and external photo and video content;
  • Acts as a technical advisor and consultant to other Departments in overseeing the creation, production, and editing of photos and videos that meet their needs;
  • Responsible for overseeing the digital content that disseminates the KRG’s brand and social media messages;
  • Develop and implement original ideas for all digital platforms in order to promote KRG’s programs, activities, and messages while working closely with all the Departments to achieve their specific objectives;
  • Use photos and videos to meet the internal communication needs of the various Departments, such as training videos/photos, informational videos, or promotional items (Posters, promotional items);
  • Help create videos and photos to successfully capture the interest of audiences of all ages for the KRG messages aimed at promoting the organization’s objectives and accomplishments;
  • Work closely with other members of the communications team;
  • Perform any other tasks as requested by the Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess a vocational diploma in Photography and/or Videography or a relevant field;
  • Experience using professional recording and photography equipment;
  • Knowledge of video editing software, including Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects;
  • Ability to produce and deliver creative text, image, and video content;
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player;
  • Personal initiative, creativity, and excellent communication skills are great assets.
  • Fluent in at least two of the following languages: Inuktitut, English, and French.

Place of employment: Kuujjuaq, Quebec

Salary: Min. $52,481 – Max. $89,256 yearly

Benefits:

Cost of living differential: $8 500 annually (minimum);

Food allowance: $4 216 annually (minimum);

Annual leave trips: Maximum 3 trips per year, per person;

Pension fund: 6,25% employer contribution and 4% employee contribution;

Group insurance;

Vacation: 20 days/year;

Statutory holidays: 20 days, including 10 days at Christmas;
