There is no option to work remotely. Responsibilities: Fly fixed wing aircrafts or helicopters Follow emergency procedures to compensate for equipment malfunction or failure Instruct student pilots in procedures and techniques of flying aircraft and in ground-school subjects such as navigation, radio procedures and flying regulations Make in-flight repairs, such as replacing fuses and adjusting instruments Monitor operation of engine and aircraft systems during flight Perform post-flight inspections Record equipment malfunctions and corrective actions taken during flight Report required repairs to ground maintenance personnel Train licenced pilots for additional certification Test new aircraft to evaluate performance Train and prepare pilots for examination Co-ordinate flight activities with ground crews and air-traffic control, inform crew members of flight and test procedures and direct activities of aircraft crew during flights Conduct in-flight tests and monitor functioning of aircraft equipment and systems during flights Conduct pre-flight inspection of aircraft and check passenger and cargo distribution to ensure that weight and balance specifications are met Contact control towers for takeoff clearances, arrival instructions and other information Maintain communications with flight dispatchers and weather forecasters and respond to and report in-flight emergencies and malfunctions Prepare flight evaluation reports Credentials Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses Commercial Pilot Licence - fixed wing Transport Canada flight instructor rating Commercial Pilot Licence - rotors Private Pilot Licence Flight instrument rating Experience and specialization Flight instructor ratings General flight Airplane Additional information Security and safety Medical exam Work conditions and physical capabilities Fast-paced environment Tight deadlines Attention to detail Manual dexterity 20/20 vision Hand-eye co-ordination Ability to distinguish between colours Sound discrimination Sitting Personal suitability Excellent oral communication Organized Accurate Client focus Efficient interpersonal skills Flexibility Judgement Reliability Benefits Health benefits Dental plan Disability benefits Health care plan Paramedical services coverage Vision care benefits Financial benefits Group insurance benefits Life insurance Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) Long term benefits Long-term care insurance Maternity and parental benefits Other benefits Free parking available Learning/training paid by employer On-site recreation and activities Other benefits Paid time off (volunteering or personal days) Parking available Until: 2025-07-05
