Location: Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Salary: $110,000 - $125,000

A well-established General Contractor specializing in Institutional, Commercial, and Industrial (ICI) new build projects is seeking a skilled Estimator to join its team in the GTA. This role offers a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $125,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for ICI new build projects, considering materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and scope to develop thorough and competitive bids.
• Collaborate with the project management team and clients to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
• Analyze tender submissions and subcontractor proposals to ensure alignment with project budgets and requirements.
• Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of material, labor, and subcontractor costs for future projects.
• Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, providing updates and recommendations to management.

Skills and Experience:

• Construction Expertise: Demonstrated experience in estimating ICI new build projects, with strong knowledge of construction methods and costs.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze project information to produce accurate estimates.
• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in construction estimating, ideally with experience in ICI projects.
• Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
