  • Maintain detailed environmental inspection logs, field notes, and photographic records.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the project’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Participate in environmental audits and assist in developing mitigation measures for identified issues.
  • Review and verify environmental documentation, including permits, reports, and submittals from subcontractors.
  • Provide training or toolbox talks to field personnel on environmental awareness and best practices.
  • Assist in preparing environmental monitoring and compliance reports for submission to regulatory authorities or clients.
  • Coordinate with construction, safety, and quality teams to ensure environmental protection measures are integrated into daily operations.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in environmental inspection or monitoring on major infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of relevant environmental legislation, including the Ontario Environmental Protection Act, Fisheries Act, and other applicable regulations.
  • Experience with erosion and sediment control, spill response, and waste management.
  • Excellent observation, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between project sites as required.
