Job Description

Requirements:

• Develop and maintain Health, Safety & Environmental programs including policies, procedures, work instructions and guidelines
• Ensure implementation and adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental programs in all departments, and works with managers and supervisors in the enforcement
• Ensure applicable hazard identification / analysis impacting workplace health and safety is conducted and action items are implemented
• Ensure Health, Safety & Environmental programs remain current with applicable legal and other requirements • Performs routine Health, Safety & Environmental audits and inspections and reports findings to management
• Provide and coordinate employee Health, Safety and Environmental training
• Review all accident / incident investigations and ensure proper corrective actions are implemented
• Provides regular statistics to management regarding Health, Safety & Environmental performance

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of health, safety, environmental experience working in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
• Minimum of 3 years of HSE experience in implementing and maintaining an HSE Management System (ISO 14001 and 45001)
• Must have a degree / diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
• CRSP designation an asset
• ISO Certified Auditor preferred
• Must be able to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
• Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, time management, and organizational skills • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
• Must be able to work overtime when necessary; may be required to work different shifts
• Must have a good understanding of Canadian Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
• Proficient in MS Office
