Job Title: Electrical Test Technician Location: San Leandro, CA Type: 3 month Contract Compensation: $50-55/hr Contractor Work Model: Onsite System One is currently seeking an Electrical Test Technician on a 3 month contract position located in San Leandro, CA. Electrical Tech Responsibilities: Key player in the development and testing of cutting-edge energy recovery technologies. Work closely with engineers in Lab environment to construct and operate test loops for new products across all product lines. Design, build, and maintain test loops, including the selection, installation and wiring of instrumentation and control components such as sensors, actuators, valves and controllers. This includes: Interpreting P&IDs and electrical schematics to accurately connect devices. Select and Install appropriate wiring, connectors and cabling for various signals and environments. Ensuring proper grounding and shielding to minimize noise and interference. Configure and calibrate a wide range of instrumentation and control devices, including pressure sensors, flow meters, temperature transmitters and control valves. Set up and operate data acquisition systems to collect and analyze test data from various sensors and instruments. This includes: Selecting appropriate sampling rates and data logging parameters. Using software tools to visualize and analyze data, identify trends and generate reports. Diagnose and resolve issues related to instrumentation, control systems, and electrical circuits within test loop. Work closely with engineers to define test parameters, execute test plans and analyze results. Maintain a safe and organized work environment. Accurately document test setups, procedures, and results. Electrical Tech Requirements: Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent certification. 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Electrical Test Technician, with a strong emphasis on building and operating test loops in a product development or industrial environment. Demonstrated expertise in wiring and configuring instrumentation and control systems. Solid understanding of electrical principles, including AC/DC circuits, signal transmission, and grounding techniques. Proficiency in using various electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and signal generators. Experience with data acquisition systems and analysis software. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Familiarity with industrial automation systems (PLCs, DCS) is a plus.
