Adecco is hiring for Donor Relations Assistant for our client's team in Hamilton . In this position, you will assist with the effective and efficient daily operation of the Community Relations and Resource Development Department in keeping with the organization’s missions, vision and values.

  • Pay rate: $22/hour
  • Location: Hamilton (On site)
  • Shifts: Monday-Friday | Shift within 8:30am-5:00pm
  • Job type: Temp-Full Time (37.5 hours/week)

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide professional and timely front-line assistance to donors and supporters of Mission Services of Hamilton. This involves providing support and service to in-person visitors and responding to phone and email inquires

• Open, sort, and process incoming mail related to donations and donor communications and interoffice mail, ensuring items are routed appropriately and securely

• Answer and distribute emails from the organization’s general email accounts

• Support the department by ensuring accurate data entry

• Manage Monthly Donor Program operations by overseeing the end-to-end process of the monthly donor program, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all updates and tasks

• Process cash donations and donations made through credit cards, and act as back up for processing cheque and online donations

• Producing receipts and thank you letters for donors in a timely manner and according to appeals and packages

• Work safely, identify any health and safety concerns and report to management, follow Mission Services workplace health and safety policies and procedures as all times

Qualifications:

a) Education

• Minimum high school diploma

• Preference for diploma or certificate in office administration

b) Experience

• Up to one (1) year experience in office administration, clerical or reception duties

• Preference for experience with Raiser’s Edge

c) Knowledge

• Some computer knowledge required; ability to respond to emails, input information into databases accurately

d) Skills

• Active listening skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Strong administrative skills

• Excellent customer service and relationship building skills

• Ability to use various Microsoft Office platforms, including: Word, Outlook, and

Excel

e) Requirements

• Police Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check

• Two-Step Tuberculosis Skin Test
