CLIENT HOT BUTTONS

• This team manages standardized product data that enables smoother end-user search experiences
• Team operates 70% English, 30% Japanese - need someone comfortable in this bilingual environment without being slowed down by language barriers
• Full-stack responsibility from design through operations - they want someone who can own the entire lifecycle, not just code

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• MUST HAVE: 4+ years professional Data Engineering or Software Engineering with data focus
• MUST HAVE: Strong Java and Spring Boot framework (version 1.8+) with unit testing and performance-conscious coding
• MUST HAVE: Experience with both relational (MySQL) and NoSQL databases (HBase) including schema design and SQL tuning
• MUST HAVE: Cloud platform experience (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable) with services like Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Functions, Bigtable, BigQuery
• MUST HAVE: Linux OS and shell scripting experience
• MUST HAVE: Team collaboration experience on detailed design and coding
• LANGUAGE: Conversational Japanese (J4), Business English (E2)

Products/Projects

• Product Master Group manages standardized and identified product data for commodity/item data, enabling end-users to search more smoothly with structured/organized data

Tech Stack/Tools

• Java, Spring Boot 1.8+, MySQL, HBase, GCP (Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Functions, Bigtable, BigQuery), Linux, shell scripting. Nice to have: Apache Spark, Hadoop, Docker, Kubernetes, TypeScript, Python

Work Style

• Full-stack responsibility covering design, development, testing, and operations. More experienced candidates contribute to requirements definition and system design. Team communication is 70% English, 30% Japanese
