Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our machine shop team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in CNC machining, including proficiency in Mastercam software, setup, machining, and quality control. As a Red Seal Machinist, you will play a vital role in producing precision components from prototype machining to short production runs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review drawings in metric and standard.
• Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes, mills, and horizontal boring machines.
• Utilize Mastercam software for programming and optimizing machining processes.
• Perform machining tasks with a focus on quality, precision, and efficiency.
• Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet specifications and standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Maintain and troubleshoot machining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes.

Qualifications:

• Red Seal Machinist.
• Proven experience in CNC machining, including setup and operation of various machines. Lathes, Mills & Horizontal Boring Machines.
• Proficiency in Mastercam software for programming and machining.
• Distinct advantage, experience with prototype machining and short production runs.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Mastercam.
• Knowledge of quality control processes and inspection techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
