Key Responsibilities

Experience in leading design and specification of centrifugal chillers, shell-and-tube heat exchangers, and associated piping systems in accordance
Perform load calculations, refrigerant flow modeling, and chiller system simulations using tools like TRACE 700/3D Plus, HAP, or EnergyPlus.
Develop technical documentation including P&IDs, piping layouts, equipment data sheets, valve and control schematics.
Design for redundancy (N+1, 2N) in accordance with Tier III/IV data center standards.
Coordinate with structural and electrical engineers to ensure compliance with guidelines on pipe supports, anchors, and expansion joints.
Integrate chiller plant design with building management systems (BMS) and energy efficiency control logic.
Oversee vendor reviews, bid evaluations, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and site acceptance tests (SAT).
Provide technical leadership during commissioning and retro-commissioning phases.
Stay up to date with evolving ASME, ANSI, and ASHRAE standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Thermal Systems Engineering.
10+ years in HVAC design with at least 5 years specializing in centrifugal chiller systems
