The Opportunity

Kēlo Cannabis is seeking a dynamic, experienced and entrepreneurially minded Retail Assistant Manager to help lead the existing team in our Kelowna location. The Position

The Retail Assistant Manager is responsible for leading and developing a highly motivated and engaged team while creating an elevated guest and customer experience. The Assistant Retail Manager will work closely with management to continuously improve product selection and service style and implement leadership protocols.

The Retail Assistant Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the retail location in accordance with the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch (LCRB), Employment Standards, Human Rights Legislation and Kēlo Standard Operating Procedures.

The Successful candidate will assist Kēlo in the following ways:

  • Assist management in supervising and leading the retail team
  • Train new employees
  • Cover some responsibilities of management when they are absent
  • Assist in creating schedules for the retail team and find shift coverage when required
  • Receive and upload inventory shipments
  • Work with management to optimize inventory
  • Problem-solve when issues arise amongst equipment, staff, and customers
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Be a positive representative of the Brand
  • Strive to improve professional traits and industry knowledge continuously
  • Drive traffic to the retail location
  • Grow sales and profitability for the company
  • Improve team performance and dynamics

Qualifications

· Demonstrated leadership ability with a minimum of 1 year of retail management/leadership experience

· Current or prior experience in a non-medical cannabis retail environment preferred

· Post-Secondary education in Business Administration or related field preferred

· Minimum 19 years of Age, Worker Security Verification, Selling It Right Certificate

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

· Experience using and training others in Point of Sales systems

· Excellent organizational and analytical skills

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Highly engaging interpersonal skills

· Reliable time management

· Ability to work well independently and with others

· Skilled in motivating others

· Self-driven and goal oriented

· High level of ethics, values and integrity

· Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and holidays

· Passion for the legal cannabis and retail industries continued and to be completed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
