Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a respected Chicago firm that is actively seeking a junior-level Bankruptcy Associate (3+ years' of experience practicing primarily in bankruptcy law).
Highlights:
Hands-on experience in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases , as well as out-of-court restructurings.
Preferred background includes healthcare-related bankruptcy matters and/or representing insurers in bankruptcy-related matters.
Opportunity to work with a diverse client base, including Chapter 7 Trustees, court-appointed receivers, institutional creditors, lenders, insurance companies, and distressed asset purchasers.
Routine matters include:
Representing creditors in Chapter 11 cases nationwide.
Serving as national bankruptcy counsel for one of the largest health insurance companies.
Representing lenders in restructurings, foreclosure actions, and UCC sales.
Representing purchasers of distressed assets (e.g., §363 sales).
Defending avoidance actions.
Assisting Chapter 7 Trustees in all aspects of Chapter 7 cases.
