Job Description

This company supports international companies and investment funds doing business in Japan. It provides bilingual services in English and Japanese, covering company setup, accounting, payroll, tax, legal compliance, immigration, and fund administration. Known for helping global teams work smoothly with local staff, the firm also offers expert guidance on Japan's complex business and banking systems.

Key Responsibilities:
-Partner with clients to identify areas for improvement in accounting processes, systems, and internal controls (Source: Robert Half Resources).
-Provide expertise in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end or year-end close processes.
-Assist with the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements (Source: RH Insights Library).
-Analyze and reconcile accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
-Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other relevant regulations (Source: RH F&A Resources).
-Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and reporting systems.
-Support audits by preparing required documentation and reports; liaise with external auditors as necessary.
-Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support client decision-making.
-Assist with integrating or implementing new accounting systems (e.g., ERP migrations) and tools.
-Provide guidance on tax compliance, payroll management, and other accounting-related matters.

Qualifications:
-Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field., CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred (or other equivalent certifications).
-Experience: 2-3 years in accounting, financial management, or a related field.
-Experience in consulting, project-based roles, or handling complex accounting challenges.
-Skills: Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
-Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
-Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
